Rachel’s struggle not to be ignored spreads to the rest of the Glee club when their yearbook photo is threatened by budget cuts. Elsewhere, Terri faces more problems in her relationship with Will.

Kurt helps Rachel in her quest to land Finn by giving her a makeover, but his help comes at a price. Elsewhere, Will does some digging on Sue that leads him to the clubs biggest competition and guest star Eve.

The Glee kids are divided into interesting duos to sing Ballads, but when one member falls sick a trio is formed. Rachel has a drastic change of opinion about Mr. Schuester.

Will encourages the Glee Club to support Artie, and asks each of them to perform in a wheelchair. Meanwhile, Kurt and Rachel compete for a big solo.

Taking his cues from the students, Will composes a mash-up for a special occasion. Meanwhile, the popular kids are dethroned in an “icy” fashion, Puck asks Rachel out, and Sue shows a different side of herself.

To cause tension among the Glee Club members, Sue forces the students to compete against each other, but the real showdown happens when she and Will get called into the principal’s office. Meanwhile, the Glee kids rally to support Quinn after some shocking news is revealed

Will challenges the kids to a healthy dose of competition with boys against girls in a mashup showdown. Meanwhile, Terri takes a job as the school nurse, despite having no medical experience, to keep an eye on Will. She starts giving medication to the glee club students. The principal finds out and requests that Sue be co-leader of the glee club. Football coach Ken Tanaka asks Emma to marry him and after an intense confrontation with Terri, she accepts

Will thinks the glee club desperately needs more of an edge, so he brings in his former classmate, April Rhodes (Kristin Chenoweth), to spice things up. Will’s plan seems to be going smoothly until he realizes he may be losing a key member of the club.

Kurt takes center stage when he tries out for the football team in order to impress his dad, Burt (Mike O’Malley). Sandy and Sue join forces to carry out their plans for destroying the glee club. Rachel feels that her talent is being marginalized, and quits the club to star in the school musical. Meanwhile, Quinn and Finn’s relationship is tested when they receive some life-changing news: Quinn is pregnant; but what Finn doesn’t know is that it’s not his baby, it’s Puck’s.
